Hnidák Family Winery
We are a small family winery from Nový Poddvorov in South Moravia. We have been making wine since 1991 and since the very first harvest we have stayed true to what matters most – our own work in the vineyard, quality grapes and wines that keep the character of the variety and of the place where they were made.
The winery was founded by Jaromír Hnidák senior, for whom winemaking was a lifelong passion. Today the family tradition is carried on by Jaromír Hnidák junior and his brother-in-law Antonín Ryba.

Jaromír Hnidák
A small winery. Great care for every vine.
We farm 2.5 hectares of vineyards around Nový Poddvorov. The size of our winery is exactly what lets us stay truly close to the vineyard and give the individual vineyard sites and varieties the utmost care.
During the year we carefully do the green work and reduce the number of bunches on the vines. We do not strive for the largest possible harvest. We want healthy, optimally ripe grapes, which are the basis of quality Moravian wine.
Tradition in a new form
Wine changes. The family story remains.
In 2021 we gave our wines a new look. The current label design follows the history of the winery and at the same time recalls its founder Jaromír Hnidák senior.
A man for whom the winery was not just work, it was his lifelong love.
And it is this story that the next generation carries on today.
Our vineyards
Remíz
In the Remíz vineyard site we farm 1.56 hectares of our own vineyards. Careful work throughout the growing season and reduced yields help us get healthy, quality grapes for our wines.
On the Slope
We also make Riesling from one hectare of old vineyards in the Na stráni vineyard site.
The older vines and the character of this vineyard give the grapes a distinctive expression, which we try to keep in the finished wine as well.
Wines with their own character
Every variety has its own signature. Our aim is not to change it, but to let it stand out in the wine.
That is why we make clean, fresh and distinctly varietal wines, in which you can discover the character of the individual grapes and of the place they come from.
Fresh white wines
We mostly vinify our white wines in stainless steel tanks. This way they keep their freshness, aromas, fruity character and pleasant acidity.
In our cellar you will find:
Riesling · Sauvignon · Chardonnay · Pálava · Pinot Gris · Hibernal · Welschriesling
Red wines aged in oak barrels
We give our red wines time.
We age them in French oak barrels, where they gradually gain structure, complexity and elegance.
Taste, for example, our structured Merlot or our elegant Pinot Noir.
